A Song About My Boy

Now by this time

My boy had determined

That he was quite tired

Of himself

 

Compounded by the realization

That he was older than nearly

Every house cat on the planet

 

His long term prospects quickly

Thinned

To nothing

Or to joining

A Wednesday night youth group at

Church

Where they played songs and spake most heavily

 

But he had a few bucks

And therefore

Decided to go to a movie -

A comedy

 

This would be easier to explain to

Old friends

And the ending might yet be unknown
